Shadow Blade’s Next Level: Upgrading to Full Netherite Armor
Shadow Blade’s Next Level: Upgrading to Full Netherite Armor
Diamond armor is powerful.
But in the Nether's heart, only one thing rules all: Netherite.
After crafting my full diamond set, I knew the journey wasn’t over. The real mission had just begun — transforming my diamond armor into full Netherite armor.
Here’s how I made it happen... and barely survived the process.
---
Step 1: Preparing for the Nether Hunt
Before even thinking about upgrading, you need Netherite Ingots — and that means finding Ancient Debris in the Nether.
Gear checklist before entering:
Diamond pickaxe (Efficiency is a big bonus)
Fire Resistance potions (saved my life more than once)
Beds for fast (and explosive) mining
Plenty of food
Blocks to build quick walls and bridges
Shadow Blade rule:
> "Prepare like it’s war — because in the Nether, it is."
---
Step 2: Finding Ancient Debris
I dove into the Nether, dug down to Y-level 15, and started bed mining — blowing up tunnels to expose ancient debris.
It wasn’t easy:
Ghasts kept firing at my portal.
Lava leaked through every explosion.
One wrong step, and it would’ve been over.
But slowly, piece by piece, I collected the most valuable block in Minecraft:
Ancient Debris.
---
Step 3: Smelting and Crafting Netherite Ingots
Ancient Debris alone isn’t enough. It needs to be refined.
Here’s the upgrade chain:
Smelt Ancient Debris in a furnace or blast furnace → Get Netherite Scrap
Combine 4 Netherite Scrap + 4 Gold Ingots → Craft 1 Netherite Ingot
For a full armor set upgrade, I needed 4 Netherite Ingots (one for each piece).
After a long, risky grind, I had just enough. The real magic was about to begin.
---
Step 4: The Smithing Table — Where Power is Forged
Unlike normal crafting, you don’t make Netherite armor from scratch.
You upgrade your existing diamond armor using a Smithing Table.
Steps:
1. Place a Diamond Armor piece into the left slot.
2. Place a Netherite Ingot into the right slot.
3. Boom — Diamond → Netherite upgrade without losing enchantments!
One by one, I transformed my armor:
Diamond Helmet → Netherite Helmet
Diamond Chestplate → Netherite Chestplate
Diamond Leggings → Netherite Leggings
Diamond Boots → Netherite Boots
Each piece clicked into place, feeling heavier, darker, and much more powerful.
---
Step 5: Full Netherite Shadow
Equipped with full Netherite armor, I looked like the true shadow warrior I was meant to be.
Fire barely scratched me.
Enemies bounced off my armor.
Even the Nether's horrors hesitated when they saw me coming.
From a vulnerable miner to an unstoppable Nether knight — the transformation was complete.
---
Final Thoughts:
Upgrading to full Netherite armor isn’t just about strength.
It’s about patience, risk, and facing the worst dangers head-on.
In Minecraft, Netherite isn’t just armor — it’s a badge of survival.
And for Shadow Blade Gaming, it’s a symbol that the shadows always rise stronger.
Have you made your full Netherite set yet? Or are you still surviving the Nether’s fury? Let’s hear your story in the comments!
